The position would involve providing technical support for our day-to-day company activities, helping to program and maintain our computer hardware and software systems. The role will additionally involve working with management to set up and configure a company-wide server for our office. Further tasks would include assisting with hardware and software purchasing, and software integration. The successful candidate should be passionate, driven, and be a fast, self-directed learner. They should have effective problem-solving ability, and strong programming skills. Familiarity with Kubernetes clusters, Anaconda package management software, and enterprises servers is preferred. The position would involve managing our professional and social outlets such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. The company LinkedIn has over 1000 followers, mostly executives and CEOs related to our core business (AI for sustainability and the Circular Economy) and we are hoping to further expand our outreach! Additional tasks would include working with our system admin to maintain our websites, supporting the development and digital distribution of product brochures and promotional materials, working with our office manager to plan and coordinate a few tradeshow attendances, and helping us to develop and publish our quarterly newsletters. The successful candidate should be passionate, driven, and a fast, self-directed learner. They should be adaptable and willing to fill a variety of roles as needed for our marketing and PR projects. Candidates must be available to work in person at our office in Waterloo on a full-time basis. The position is expected to be hybrid and full-time.
